The Sant Antoni d'Andratx festivals are held every year on the Sunday after January 17.This showy parade was recovered back in the 1970's and is still incredibly popular today. The village band, horseback riders and crowds of local people wearing typical costumes make their way through the village streets. They're accompanied by spectacular floats, prepared by village residents.

Every year on Easter Monday the local residents from Andratx, S'Arracó and Sant Elm go on a pilgrimage to the tower of Sant Elm. As well as the traditional mass there is folk dancing, games for kids and some excellent local cuisine.

"Coca de trempó" which is pastry with vegetable and fish toppings and "Panades" (meat and/or vegetable pies) are a popular treat. This is also when they make the giant paella. It's become a popular custom to create paella large enough for the whole village - quite impressive, everyone gets a piece!

Ever year, after high mass on June 29th the local fishermen make a single maritime procession around the waters of Port d'Andratx. This is dedicated to the patron saint of sailors and takes place on what's known as Sant Pere's day.

Numerous different acts take place throughout the course of the day; the most interesting of these is the "verbena" or evening street party. It's a fun event.

On July 16, there's a colourful procession where the statue of the Virgin is taken from the church to the port where boats with lively decorations await it. The statute then leads the entourage, followed by a band and the rest of the vessels.

The fiesta of Sant Crist takes place on the 28th of August. It"s held in S'Arracó. During the event, poetic melodies (dedicated to the saint) are sung and a huge variety of sports and cultural activities take place.

Later on in the year (September the 8th) another festival takes place in the same village where the statue of the Mare de Deu de la Trapa is paraded through the village streets accompanied by a well-attended procession.
